Airline makers all over the world specifically the two big ones Boeing and Airbus invest a lot of money in making technologies that help land planes safely on the runway. There are techniques like these which are called crosswind landings used in stormy conditions with strong wind. When direct approach becomes impossible pilots try cross-wind techniques. On touch down the thrust reversers and the wheels ensure that the plane aligns itself to the centre line of the runway. In this video taken from the edge of Dusseldorf airport runway you can see planes landing in strong cross winds. Even the big ones are hard to land but with the skillful pilots these airlines have it is an awesome video to watch and appreciate the strength of these machines and skillful pilots fighting out the adversities of nature.

Taking off....
As we push back, the air traffic control has given clearance for take-off of this blog. Airborneflyinghigh runway 36 cleared for take off, fly heading 270 is what the instruction says. So we align with the runway and I push the throttle up to full power as we get the nose up on this blog and can see the horizon infront of us. Its beautiful up here. I am here up in the air.....
